About the Event
What to expect at The Global Tea Exchange
An Welcoming Gathering
The Global Tea Exchange is a thoughtfully designed cultural experience that celebrates young voices, cultural heritage, and community connection. This is an event for all ages—while young people participate as storytellers and hospitality leaders, this gathering welcomes everyone who wishes to listen, learn, and be part of something meaningful.
Limited Seating
To create an intimate and welcoming atmosphere, we are limiting attendance to 50 people. This ensures that every guest can fully experience the stories, hospitality, and cultural exchange without feeling rushed. We encourage you to reserve your seat early.
Seating and Service
Guests will be seated at tables where they can comfortably listen to stories while enjoying tea and cultural delicacies. Our teen leaders, dressed in traditional attire from the featured countries, will provide warm hospitality throughout the afternoon.
Program Flow
The afternoon includes an intermission, allowing guests to stretch, connect with others, and refresh before the second half of cultural stories. This gives everyone time to reflect on what they’ve heard and prepare for new perspectives.
A Multigenerational Experience
While children and teens play important roles as storytellers and hospitality leaders, this is not a children’s event. This is a community gathering designed for people of all ages who want to learn about different cultures, hear authentic voices, and be part of a respectful, inclusive space. Whether you’re 8 or 80, there’s a place for you at this table.
About the Food & Tea
Guests will be offered tastings of tea blends and cultural delicacies from each featured country. This is a tasting experience, not a full meal—think of it as a culinary journey that complements the stories you’ll hear, not a substitute for dinner. We encourage an open and adventurous spirit as you experience flavors from around the world.
Important: Food Allergy Notice
Due to the nature of tea blends and the variety of cultural delicacies being served, cross-contamination is possible. Guests with severe food allergies are advised to participate at their own risk. If you do attend with allergies, please inform our team upon arrival so we can help you navigate the offerings safely.
We ask all attendees to approach the food with respect and openness. Please be willing to experience new flavors and tastes—this ensures nothing is wasted and honors the cultures we’re celebrating.
The Heart of the Experience
The focus of this event is on the stories, voices, and cultural perspectives being shared—not on the tea or food themselves. As you taste and listen, you’re learning about the traditions, values, and experiences of young people from around the world. Each story is an invitation to understand a new perspective and to build bridges of respect and community.
